LOVE PEOPLE FAR FROM GOD
“Salvation is always ‘good news.’ It is news of God’s love and forgiveness; adoption into His family, fellowship with His people, freedom from the penalty of sin- liberation from the power of sin.” -Billy Graham
Salvation changes everything for people. People are dying and going to Hell. People are living lives that are meaningless. Jesus Christ came to seek and to save the lost and has sent us to carry out the Great Commission in this world. The Gospel is the hope of the world.
LIVE IN AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIPS
Openhanded honesty is key to true Christian community.
The great enemy of the Gospel is a lack of honesty with each other and our own selves. Authentic relationships call us to be open with our actions and attitudes. They call us to be better believers in Jesus, better husbands and wives, better parents, and better citizens. We desire to lead genuine and authentic lives and live in relationship with one another with our hands open.
LEAD GOSPEL-CENTERED LIVES
The same Gospel that saves us also sanctifies us.
We believe the reason people feel unsettled and unhappy in life is because they have rejected God’s rule. This rejection has left us under a state of corruption and condemnation, and His absence has left a void in our hearts. Jesus, God in the flesh, in great love, absorbed God’s righteous wrath against our sin and bridged the gap between humankind and the Father. We believe that the Gospel should permeate every part of life and should be turned to in every situation.
LOVE OUR ROLES
“The body does not consist of one member but many.” -1st Corinthians 12:14
God created man and woman. He created them in His image. He’s given each part of the body a different role. Those who have trusted Christ are Gospel Creations that are made for His glory. We all have a distinct purpose and role in making the Gospel clear.
LIVE TO TRANSFORM OUR COMMUNITIES
Gospel-centered people must seek the good of their cities.
Community Transformation is done by strong disciple-making. We seek the Gospel-centered transformation of the communities in which we live. We want to see homes, streets, subdivisions, and cities transformed by the Gospel. This only happens when God’s people are on mission where they work, live, and serve.
